文科圖書館的建設(shè)，作為一種文化的這種文明的這樣一種積聚，同時(shí)它又是一個(gè)非常重要的發(fā)散和影響的這樣一個(gè)，這樣的文化功能的地方，它對(duì)于不僅對(duì)大學(xué)，對(duì)整個(gè)社會(huì)，對(duì)整個(gè)文化都是一個(gè)非常，具有非常重要的意義。
As a culture and civilization convergence, the literal arts library has great implications. Building such a facility is highly significant for the society and culture.
成立于2007年3月的凱風(fēng)公益基金會(huì)，秉持“推動(dòng)人類進(jìn)步，促進(jìn)社會(huì)發(fā)展”的理念，致力于激勵(lì)卓越學(xué)者、鼓勵(lì)優(yōu)秀青年，推動(dòng)政策研究、提升公共福利等領(lǐng)域公益事業(yè)。值此清華百年校慶之際，凱風(fēng)公益基金會(huì)捐建清華大學(xué)人文社科圖書館，助力莘莘學(xué)子更上層樓。
Kai Feng Foundation has, since its founding in March 2007, been living the idea of “promoting human progress and social development” and committed to encouraging excellent scholars and youths, facilitating policy research, elevating public welfare and other charitable programs. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Tsinghua University, the Foundation donates Tsinghua University Humanities and Social Sciences Library, helping students strive for excellence.

清華人文社科圖書館，由國(guó)際知名建筑大師馬里奧?博塔領(lǐng)銜設(shè)計(jì)，是博塔先生在中國(guó)設(shè)計(jì)的首個(gè)建筑，2009年2月17日設(shè)計(jì)方案通過(guò)，從此圖書館進(jìn)入了兩年的建設(shè)歷程。
Designed by world-renowned architect Mario Botta, the Library is the first architecture of Mr. Botta in China. After the design plan was adopted on Feb. 17, 2009, the Library enters a 2-year construction period.
